My stay at the Pearl was nothing short of spectacular. All of the hotel staff were extremely nice and made us feel at home. The room was way nicer than expected. It had two balconies and a tv in the bathroom mirror! I would love to come back to the Pearl one day as it is now my favorite place I have ever stayed!
Love going to the Pearl. It is one of my favorite places around Rosemary Beach. 30A, is really kid friendly with a variety of things to do. If you want to see the Dolphins, book your trip early in the summer time or you might not get a spot. September and October is less crowded and is one of my favorite times to go. The water is still warm and places are still open.
I had turned off of The Pearl due to good, but mediocre, meals. We tried it again for brunch. I was impressed. There's a new chef with an updated menu. I had a Short Rib Hash, which had outstanding flavor. My wife ordered Crab Benedict on sourdough bread, which she enjoyed. My sister returned her Benedict because the egg white was too loose for her, so they re-prepared it to her satisfaction. Another member of the party was very pleased with the burger and another with a Shrimp Club. All in all, the restaurant exceeded expectations.
The server was very attentive to our group of about 8 or 9 people. The prices were certainly not cheap but were still in line with what is to be expected for the quality and variety of alcohol. It had a greap environment over near the bar and the groups of others seemed to be enjoying themselves as well.
My mother and I were treated despicably by the hotel manager while dining here. We were treat like criminals for simply taking a photograph near the pool area with our camera. The hotel manager rudely approached us and only said the following “what are you using these pictures for?” I said, what do you mean? I am a paying customer, it is for my own collection. What sort of human being lacks that much common sense? What else could I possibly want a photo of my mother and I in front of the pool, after our dinner for? She proceeded to force me to pack up my camera and escort us out of the building. Mind you, we took a picture on the rooftop bar and none of the staff told us photos were prohibited. When asked if it were any different if I took a picture on my phone, the manager said a “selfie” was acceptable, but not a photograph on a camera. Is this manager delusional or just plain stupid? Please do not employ “managers” who lack common sense and decency. I can assure you of two things 1) my photograph of my mother and I, although not a selfie, was for my own personal collection—trust me, Elle Magazine will not be buying these photos from us anytime soon 2) I will never return to this place where the representative of management was the hands down most incompetent and despicably rude person I have even encountered in customer service. If your hotel policy prohibits guests from taking photos then please hop into a time machine and go back to 1952, photos whether taken on a phone or camera are standard practice in this day and age. You should welcome any sort of free advertising rather than treat your guests like animals for taking a picture. Since this hotel cannot employ managers who exhibit the least amount of common sense and decent attitude towards their guests, I will never return to the Pearl. Be cautious of who you employee, I assure you one incompetent employee is not worth losing regular customers. Future guests: Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else where the hotel management exhibits appreciation and the TINIEST bit of respect for their guests. Disgusting representation and mismanagement. I will never return to this establishment.
